Peace out Dubai!

I’ve been in Dubai with Ross now for a little over 3 months. It has been so wonderful actually being able to have a normal relationship and to be taking some time off work and just relaxing! I have been doing the “stay at home” girlfriend thing, which basically consists of cooking, cleaning, reading books, researching our trip, and spending tons of time at the gym! I’m basically living the dream haha! Despite the heat that has kicked in the past month, I have really enjoyed my time in Dubai. It is so clean and safe and has some amazing restaurants and bars! Ladies Night and Brunch here are the best things ever! Plus, all the hotels have really nice pools that you can pay to use. I have seen most of the big attractions during past trips to Dubai, but have now ticked off the rest of my list. I visited Miracle Garden, the Butterfly Garden, went dune bashing in the desert, zip lining through the Marina, rode a camel, had high tea at the Burj Al Arab, and explored the Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates. We have had a few visitors to take around, which has given me a chance to be a bit of a tourist and Ross and I have had a chance to do some traveling as well. We took a long weekend to Jordan and also to the Maldives. I know, it seems weird to say that we spent a long weekend in either of those places considering how far they are from the US. Overall, the past few months have been wonderful and I am so excited for our big trip coming up!

Speaking of the big trip….we finally have an exit date from Dubai and part of our itinerary sorted out! We leave July 19th for Ireland to see Ross’s family and travel around the country for our 1st stop. Below is our itinerary so far.

July 19-Aug 4: Northern Ireland & Ireland
Aug 4-Aug 11: Scotland
Aug 11-20: Croatia
Aug 20-Sept 3: Switzerland
Sept 3-Sept 19: Liechtenstein, Austria, Czech Republic
Sept 19-Sept 30: Germany
Sept 30-?: Asia? (we don’t have this organized at all yet!)

It has been a lot of work planning this leg of our trip because it is high season and we have a few people joining us along the way, but we are so excited for everything we have planned so far!
Now that the journey is beginning, we will be updating the blog as much as possible. I can’t wait to share our pictures and stories with all of you!
