Adventure Awaits!

Hello family, friends, and anyone else who has decided to read our blog! As some of you know, but most of you may not, Ross and I have decided to take a year off to travel. In April I will be going to Dubai for 3 months while Ross finishes up work and then we will be setting off on the adventure of a lifetime!

A little background on us, for those of you who may not know…

Ross and I met at a wedding in Perth, December 2017. His brother married one of my closest friends and old roommate. Evidently, he had been hitting on me for two straight days, but in typical Lindsey fashion, I had no idea haha! I did eventually figure it out and we had a wonderful last day together in Perth. Ross wound up coming to meet me for New Years in Sydney and then I flew to Dubai 6 weeks later to see him and the rest is history. He has been out to visit me twice in San Diego and I have been to Dubai twice. The distance has been hard and we are both so excited to finally be in the same city together!

We have started to discuss an itinerary, but it is still pretty rough at this point. Here is what we have been discussing though:

July-Sept 2019: Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Eastern Europe, Germany (Oktoberfest), Switzerland

Oct-Dec 2019: Japan (Rugby World Cup), South Korea, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia (Christmas)

Jan-April 2020: Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Belize

May-Aug 2020: USA, Canada

I kept a journal years ago when I was living abroad and would email it out to my family. At the time, it simply served as a way to keep in touch, but I recently read back through some of my old emails and couldn’t believe how much I had forgotten from those years! We want to be able to use this blog as a way for you all to follow us through our adventures this next year and also as a way for us to hold on to all the memories and stories we accumulate along the way.

Ross and I will both be posting on here and adding photos as well, so you will be able to see both of our perspectives on the trip (I am sure at times they will vary greatly haha!)
